Kielo supports its tenants’ sustainability efforts

An increasing number of Kielo’s clients are seeking facilities that are both environmentally friendly and cost-effective. As a property owner, Kielo is committed to promoting sustainable development and assisting its tenants in their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint. The primary goals of solar power projects are to enhance energy self-sufficiency and lower energy costs.

“We want to help our tenants achieve their sustainability goals,” says Max Nybondas, Kielo’s Sustainability Manager.

“It is important for us to be a reliable partner in our tenants’ transformation projects – we support tehir own energy efficiency initiatives and implement them ourselves as well.”

An example of an energy project supporting sustainability goals is the generation of solar electricity on the roof of a facility. Recently, a solar power plant was completed on the roof of JYSK’s store on Mäkikuumolantie in Hyvinkää, initiated by the tenant. The solar panels were supplied and installed by Solarigo Systems Oy, with a capacity of 36 kWp.

“The collaboration among the parties was smooth, and the installations proceeded quickly,” Nybondas says.
