Kielo renovates the facade of Kauppakatu 18 property in Jyväskylä

The facade renovation of Kauppakatu 18, located on Jyväskylä’s pedestrian street, has been completed in November, and the facade has been restored to its former glory. The contractor was T&P Keski-Suomi Oy, and the supervision was handled by Rakennusinsinööripalvelut A.A..

The three-month project included plaster repairs and painting of the facades on Kauppakatu and Kilpisenkatu, as well as the refurbishment of the exterior window frames. The renovation of the courtyard side is planned for next summer.

Originally completed in 1915 for bank use, the property is known as Puistonkulma (Former Pankinkulma), as it is located on the edge of the beautiful Kirkkopuisto, in a prime location in Jyväskylä. The building is a significant part of the city’s history, and its renovation is an important step towards preserving the city’s cultural heritage.

The renovation of the office premises will begin once the tenant base is confirmed. The new premises will offer modern facilities for businesses that want to operate in the heart of Jyväskylä, in a historic environment.
