Jula is a Swedish family-owned company offering products for inspiring DIY projects for home, garden and leisure. The chain has 136 stores in Sweden, Norway, Poland and Finland. Jula is now expanding rapidly in Finland. The first store in Uusimaa was opened in Hyvinkää in September 2023.
“We have been looking for a suitable property in Uusimaa since the end of last year. It’s great that our first store in Uusimaa found its place in Hyvinkää. The location of the store along Highway 3 is excellent,” says Henrik Huhtala, Construction Manager at Jula Finland Oy.
Huhtala is also pleased with the surroundings of the location with many furniture stores and remarkably good parking spaces for customers.
The property adapted to the user’s needs
The property underwent a major renovation before moving.
“Jula has a precise store concept, which we have also brought to Finland. Extensive alterations were made to the property. A loading ramp was built outside for freight traffic, which works for our volumes of goods,” says Huhtala.
Each Jula store employs about 20 people, for whom the aim was to ensure first-class premises.
“The employees’ social facilities were also completely renovated as it is important that all spaces in the store are comfortable.”

Jula is here to stay
The renovation was carried out throughout the year and the new store opened its doors on 21 September. Plenty of new store openings are expected, as Jula hopes to open numerous stores in the coming years.
